Since the last post was about a documentary I thought I would highlight a great site that hosts "viewer-funded" documentaries.
ReelChanges allows you to read and view a short piece of a documentary and donate money to fund the completion of the film. A great idea to build collaboration on the funding side.

It is a cool idea. I've spoken with Hal Plotkin from ReelChanges. I have a similar project that isn't focusing on documentaries, but local investigative journalism. Check it out, would love your feedback. http://spot.us
ReelChanges and Spot Us are both part of a larger shift to try and figure out how media can be funded from the ground up.
